Talou in the Press: 2024 Highlights

2024 was a year of firsts for Talou, having launched at the tail end of 2023. We were thrilled to see our children’s wool knitwear featured in the press right from the start in January. It’s always a joy to spot our knitwear in the wild—and to be featured so early on was the icing on the cake!

Here’s a round-up of where we popped up:

THE EXPLORER JUMPER

The Explorer Jumper is our hero product. Made from deadstock wool rescued from UK factories and knitted in small batches in our partner studio in London, the Explorer Jumper is made for adventuring—and layering. It made its debut in January in City Kids: The Journal for Winter 2024. We also saw the red wool Explorer Jumper pop up in a few gift guides throughout the year, including The Surrey and Wealsdon Times (in print), and My Baba.

THE EXPLORER CARDIGAN

Our Explorer Cardigan is wonderfully versatile. The boxy shape and transitional weight mean you can layer it in winter or throw it over a dress or T-shirt on summer evenings. We were delighted to see it featured throughout the year. It cropped up in Juno Magazine (in print), Junior Magazine, and Homes and Interiors Scotland (in print).

ROAM FREE BEANIE

The 100% wool Roam Free Beanie is pretty special. Made from deadstock yarns and hand-finished with the Talou cut-and-stick motif, each hat is one of a kind. At £35, they make a gorgeous gift. Making them in limited runs means we can play with colours all year round. Lemon Magazine noticed—they featured them three times (online and in print)!

TALOU BRAND FEATURES

And last but not least, Talou itself had its moment in the spotlight.
We were profiled by CWB Magazine and Italy’s Polkadot Magazine, and Design Week featured us early in the year, showcasing the branding work we created with the brilliant team at The Yard Creative.
