AWARDS AND MENTIONS
Every Piece Has a Story. At Talou, our clothing is crafted to last, cherished across families, and part of a circular journey—one adventure at a time.

trade in. upgrade. create new stories.
Treasure it while it's theirs, sell it back to us when they're done.
Each piece will be sold on to the next little explorer, continually adding chapters to its ever evolving story as it journeys from child to child.

This isn't just a jumper.
It’s a part of our circular family, designed to be loved and passed on.
Find out how we create products that will outlast one little explorer. And the next, and the next..

OUR STORY
Hi, I'm Ellie, founder and director of Talou. We create beautifully designed children's knitwear for cool, conscious little explorers.

"Beautiful, quality knitwear. I love the circular element to this brand, such a fab idea."
Bonita Turner, Editor of Junior, @juniormagazineonline

"Love the designs - so funky and fun. Using deadstock yarn to encourage waste reduction is not only good for the planet but good for the brand, with smaller, unique collections and colours"
Sarah-Jane Mee, Sky News Broadcaster, @skysarahjane

"Absolutely love that the bubbas can grow with pieces and they become a wardrobe staple."
Portia Freeman, model, broadcaster and mixologist, @portiaportiaaaa

“The buyback promise is fantastic and one I wish more brands offered. Great charitable links, too.”
Bianca London, GLAMOUR UK Website Director and Media Consultant

“Talou is a small brand with a big sustainable heart! Love that they’re working with charity shops to recycle old wool and cashmere items.”
Ellie Thompson, MyBaba
Let customers speak for us
from 11 reviewsI purchased the Explorer cardigan for my niece as a Christmas present and she hasn't taken it off since! Really beautifully crafted knit in a fabulous and unique design. Came in lovely packaging with the option of the buy back scheme for when she grows out of it, keeping it sustainable! We love!
I bought this as a christmas present for my sister's little one and its even more beautiful than I was expecting. The colours are so vibrant and the colour is beautiful. Highly recommend!
I bought one of these for my daughter and she just loves it. I'm amazed by the quality - I bought a size bigger and I think with the extended cuffs we'll get several years wear out of. Love it!
The colours and design are so fun and my little one wears hers at least once a week. It’s beautifully made and the wool is amazing quality. It’s a piece to wear and treasure then pass on!
I would highly recommend and would love to add more to my children’s knitwear collection
We love this sweater so much, what a great brand! My daughter loves the bright colors and the sweater’s softness. It also looks great under a fairy costume :) We’ll definitely be ordering a bigger size very soon!
My daughter absolutely loves her purple beanie - she says ‘cosy’ and it looks so adorable!
We love our Talou cardigan! It’s my girl’s absolute favourite! Super snuggly to wear and looks so cool pulled on with any outfit. Ours has seen many adventures already, and when it’s outgrown will be handed down to her little sister for some more! We love that there’s an option to trade in when you’re done- although this one might be hard to let go 💜
Our daughter has been wearing her jumper for months now and we are absolutely delighted with it. It doesnt wear out, it's very easy to wash, it's warm and comfortable. You can tell the quality is really good. We are super happy with our purchase and have recommended Talou to our friends!
I love this hat for my son. The coloured is soft and I like that it is not gendered. The material is also very soft, and you can clearly feel the quality. Great ethos too
Our son has a Talou cardigan and my goodness do we love it. Not only does he look great in it but it is so comfortable and soft for him to crawl around in. It’s been washed multiple times and still looks brand new. I’m astounded and thrilled by the quality. I want one for the whole family! It feels great to dress our child in something that is so conscious of the planet. Excited to sell it back and get another one in another fab colourway.
We absolutely love our little Talou cardi. It fits my daughter perfectly, with just the right wriggle room to grow. It's beautifully made, I love the shape, and the sleeves are perfect length (so they don't end up in her dinner). I only wish it was in my size too!
